Spectra Aerospace & Defense Appoints Athanasios ‘Nasos’ Bardis as Vice President and General Manager of CALCULEX

The strategic appointment of Bardis as the new leader of CALCULEX marks a significant step in Spectra’s revamp of its business unit leadership team.

Alpharetta, GA — March 17 — Spectra Aerospace & Defense today announced the appointment of Nasos Bardis as the new Vice President and General Manager of CALCULEX. With an impressive program management and engineering leadership background, Bardis is set to drive the CALCULEX mission of delivering secure and innovative data acquisition and recording solutions to the defense industry.

Bardis brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise from years in the defense industry and has a proven track record of enhancing operational capabilities in a lean manufacturing environment. Most recently, Bardis served as the Vice President of Engineering at FreeFlight Systems. He has also worked in engineering leadership roles for Safran, ABB Power Distribution, Eaton, and Honeywell.
With Bardis at the helm of CALCULEX, the business is poised to continue its legacy of innovation and excellence. His appointment completes the senior management team for Spectra Aerospace & Defense, as the company recently announced Erlend Møyland as the CEO of Galleon Embedded Computing.
Bardis holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Wales.
